David Frisk boasts a 21-year career in law enforcement, with a robust background encompassing diverse roles. His expertise includes 11 years of dedicated patrol service in both Morris and Essex counties, coupled with a decade focused on felony case investigation within the same regions. Notably, he has handled over 50 homicides and police-involved shootings during his investigative tenure, showcasing a wealth of knowledge in criminal investigation, interview and interrogation techniques, evidence handling, and courtroom procedures. His adept case management extends seamlessly from the initial crime scene to the courtroom. Beyond his investigative roles, David brings valuable experience in school facility security. This involves comprehensive responsibilities such as overseeing building and property management, conducting security reviews, managing emergency planning, infrastructure, and capital improvement, and coordinating event planning in collaboration with law enforcement. His proficiency also extends to school transportation, encompassing contract bidding, state compliance requirements, and involvement in collective bargaining and contract negotiations for both law enforcement and board of education contracts. Currently serving as an instructor for law enforcement at the vocational high school level and as an adjunct professor, David holds a distinguished academic background. He is a graduate of the Essex County Police Academy, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Upsala College and a Master’s Degree in Human Resources from Seton Hall University. Furthermore, he possesses a N.J. State-issued "Teacher of Law Enforcement" certification, a certification in Traffic/Crash Reconstruction from I.P.T.M., and an I.C.S.-200 level certification, underscoring his commitment to ongoing professional development and education.
